Sigh. Got deep into a $33 MTT .. busted in 37th place for about $70. I was feeling great! The best I was playing/feeling in a week or so. When I get deep in tourneys like this, I really feel like I am going to win. I really had that feeling tonight. I was playing so NITTY! 7% of flops seen! I was just playing a small stack and hitting timely doubles but it was working great! Then I went ahead and overplayed AQ (maybe?) from the button and running into AA in the small blind. I could have folded AQ to the reraise I received, but I shoved it hoping to see a PP or AJ. But nah. Fuck. The hand ..

Oh well I guess, I'll take solace in the fact I felt I played real well and cashed in something decent (feels like forever). I also cashed in a $2 MTT for minimal $$. Did not cash in the $5 360! My KK got beat by 44 after a 4 came on the flop. WEAK!
Enough poker (there will be more tomorrow), don't want to bore Casie to much. Although I really don't have much to say other than poker ... my life really consists of poker, school and the Equinox (the other two are not that enjoyable to write about). I barely even drink anymore! That may be a stretch .. but hey .. it feels like I don't drink as much, I'll tell you that.
My friend Roach sent me a message from Copenhagen today. He is heading to Amsterdam today. I am WAAAAAYY jealous. I'd love to be in Europe right now. I really want to go to Ireland after I graduate. Doubtful I will though. If anything I'll be going out to San Diego with Clarky and Tardiff or possible taking a road trip with the roommates. We'll see. Maybe I'll have a job .. HA!

ReplyDeleteIf he had shoved, which is completely appropriate and normal w/ his stack I would have snap called. Your not supposed to raise/fold w/ 20 BBs anyways, unless you have some kind of read you are certainly crushed. Although I might have got it in here no matter what in this BU vs SB situation, his small PF 3-bet is really really strong, and if he had been really tight on top of this I would have been really tempted to fold. A lot of people would disagree but I'm going solely on the tell of a small 3-bet when he should just be shoving is just telling you I have AA or KK.

ReplyDeleteIndeed. The small 3 bet was scary, and he was the best player in terms of OPR. 2+2ers have said they would shove, although that discussion is going no where. You should revive it Benny.
